For drama actors Jak Roberto and Lauren Young, the mini-series Stories From The Heart: Never Say Goodbye is a sort of big reunion for both of them.

The two previously worked together in the 2018 high-rating afternoon soap Contessa, which had Glaiza de Castro as the lead actress.

Lauren, who played the evil Daniella then, found herself at ease doing her scenes with Jak in Never Say Goodbye.

“It was a very difficult show, it was our first-time working together," she told GMANetwork.com, referring to her Contessa experience.

"And this time around, I found more comfort acting with Jak, 'cause majority of my scenes were with him.

“We had a lot of intimate [and] a lot of serious scenes together, so the fact that I've worked with him prior it really helped because I have trust in him, when we do my scenes.”

Lauren noticed that Jak really improved a lot, too. She continued, “Masaya kasama si Jak, super at ease kasi ako 'pag siya 'yung ka-eksena ko, so that's very helpful. He's improved a lot.”

Meanwhile, Jak also has kind words for his co-star and described Lauren as a “good listener.”

The Kapuso actor explained, “Alam mo si Lauren she's a good listener, she's a good adviser. On and off cam talagang marami kang matutunan sa kanya.

“And tignan mo lang siya sa mata, talagang bonus siya na pagka-eksena mo si Lauren, kasi 'yung preparation and effort, e, talagang sasabayan mo na lang 'yung ginagawa niya.”
